About Genie Morgan
Genie is an art education major with a BA from the University of North Texas and an MA from the University of Texas @ Arlington with a major in Interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in art therapy. Retired after over 24 years in public schools, she continues to study art and explore new media under successful internationally known artists.
In 2014 her work was published in an international book entitled Paverpol World Art by Jossy de Roode about textile sculptures created with a product known as Paverpol.
Genie's work has been exhibited in juried art shows, galleries, and has been purchased by both businesses and individuals.
Today she teaches at art retreats, paints during praise and worship at churches, teaches privately at a gallery where her art is exhibited and at her home studio. She is continually exploring and experimenting with different media, techniques, and styles of art.
On a personal note, she is the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 6. Her family is not only important to her but is often the inspiration for her creations.
